Simba grows up as the king's son in the Pride Lands. Mufasa carefully prepares him for his role as future king and also explains to him the eternal circle of life. However, his insidious brother Scar wants to be king himself and lures Mufasa into a deadly trap. Simba then has to flee. With his new friends Timon and Pumba, he lives carefree and enjoys life. Until one day his old friend Nala tells him about Scar's reign of terror. Simba must decide whether to accept responsibility and return to the Pride Lands.
