Description

Designed in France, the Withings ScanWatch is the first hybrid smartwatch made to help you track your fitness. It continuously scans your vital signs to identify conditions like heart disease in a timely manner.

Developed together with experts, the smartwatch can take medically accurate measurements such as an ECG and SpO2 measurements. Since the watch is a hybrid model, it has a battery life of up to 30 days. It needs 2 hours of charging time for a 100% charge, or 1 hour for a charge of 80%. All the data measured by the watch automatically syncs with the free Withings app to offer insights to your statistics.

All features at a glance:

  • Detects an irregular heartbeat
  • Recognises sleep-disordered breathing
  • Takes ECG on demand
  • Measures oxygen saturation
  • Heart rate tracking
  • Comprehensive sleep tracking
  • 24/7 activity tracking
  • Notifications via a PMOLED screen

Track your heart health:

The ScanWatch regularly records and tracks your heart rate day and night to improve your training and health over the long term. If the watch detects an irregular heartbeat, a notification alerts the user to the electrocardiogram (ECG). The medically accurate electrocardiogram can detect signs of atrial fibrillation, which can lead to health problems if left undetected. Unfortunately, this form of cardiac arrhythmia is often symptom-free and is therefore often not discovered without regular testing. The live signal can be displayed during recording and can be viewed and shared at any time with the app.

Monitor your breathing:

The oximeter on your wrist measures hemoglobin and blood oxygen saturation (SPO2) and quickly assess the user's respiratory function. Any of your SpO2 readings measured with the PPG (photoplethysmography) sensor can be easily viewed and shared in the Withings Withings app.

Furthermore, oxygen saturation, heart rate, breathing rate and movements throughout the night can also be measured using the watch. All of this data can indicate cases of sleep apnea.

Sleep analysis:

The sleep monitor learns to understand your sleeping patterns to help you identify issues and improve the quality of your sleep. Thanks to artificial intelligence developed in a sleep laboratory in Mannheim, Germany, the watch tracks the stages of your sleep including: light and deep sleep, sleep duration, sleep, and wake time and sleep interruptions, which you can record and monitor with the Withings app. The special algorithm, calibrated at the Beclere Hospital in France using polysomnography, is considered the gold standard for sleep analysis, as it automatically evaluates how rested you are. The selective heart rate measurements during sleep provide insight into your sleeping heart rate, which differs from your resting heart rate. In addition to the heart rate, the respiration scan can be used to identify breathing disorders and provides an analysis of the continuous oxygen content in the blood (SpO2), heart rate, movements and respiratory rate.

Thanks to the smart wake-up function, your watch knows whether you are in a light or deep sleep phase and automatically selects the best time to wake you up. You can also set an alarm so that you'll be woke up with a gentle vibration.

Activity tracking:

When you're in exercise mode, the watch uses activity tracking that measures movement, distance, elevation, speed and heart rate using your phone's GPS. Training mode is automatically detected by the watch based on your activity and the connected GPS. You can also manually select 30 different types of activities on your watch. The duration of your workout, your heart rate and your movement are continuously recorded. In addition, your steps are also recorded with the 3-axis accelerometer to keep track of your daily step goal. Your fitness level can be determined based on the collected data and the estimated maximum oxygen consumption (VO2max).
